Where can I find a TerraCycle BlisterBack public drop-off location?
Thanks to our dedicated network, we have TerraCycle BlisterBack public drop-off points across mainland Britain. Soon we are launching our interactive map, outlining the drop-off locations near you.
What types of blister packs do you accept?
We accept empty medicine blister packs from all brands. We do not support the collection and recycling of blister packs that still contain medicine. If you have any unopened, unused, and out-of-date medicines, take them back to your local pharmacy and they’ll dispose of them for you.
How does TerraCycle BlisterBack recycle blister packaging?
Once collected, the blister packs are cleaned and separated by material type (plastics and aluminium). The main fractions of plastics and aluminium are then recycled into raw formats that manufacturers use to make new products. Check the blister packs recycling video at the top of the FAQ and this page to learn more about TerraCycle's recycling process.
I am a household and there’s no public drop-off point near me, what can I do?
We are working hard to expand our network of public drop-off points and free solutions.
In the meantime, you can purchase a Zero Waste Bag to collect and recycle your empty blister packs. Once your bag is full, you can drop it off at one of +5000 InPost Lockers.
If you would like to help us expand our public drop off location network, you can do so by informing local businesses in your area about this initiative and share with them our page dedicated to businesses.
I am a business, can I participate without adding my drop-off location to the map?
Absolutely! When you purchase a Zero Waste Box to set up a recycling station, you don’t need to opt in to make your location publicly available.
However, if you’re a business and are able to make your location accessible to the public, we encourage you to add your public drop-off location on the map (coming soon) to promote your recycling efforts and boost your impact.
